Round Robin continued; Mariners down the Turkey's 5 to 3, Sold Signs double up the Alpines; Moustache eliminate the Wild from the Playoffs.Tuesday, March 29th had one game, the Secunda Mariners going to 2 wins in as many games, with a 5 to 3 victory over the Wild Turkey's.
Jason Troini and Tyler Hawes each had a pair for the Mariners, and Chris O'Donnell adding a goal and 3 helpers, in the victory.
Colton Denman, Nick Sheffer and Adam Mayo replied for the Wild.
The Wild Turkey's are know 0 and 2 for the Round Robin and will need a win in their next game.
There were no games on Thursday, due to a Trade Show at the Sportsplex.
The Round Robin continued on Tuesday, April 5th with two games.
The early game had the Realty Partners Sold Signs defeat the Dartmouth Alpines 4 to 2 and secure a spot in the Semi Finals.
Sold Signs opened the scoring on a goal from Max Lessard, to give them a 1 to 0 lead heading into the 2nd period.
Tyson Aalders would put the Signs up 2 to 0 early in the 2nd.
The Dartmouth Alpines would score their first goal of the Round Robin half way through the 2nd period, on a shot from Nick Croft.
The Alpines would tie the game at 2 on a shorthanded goal from Matt Quinn, with 5:36 remaining in regualtion time.
Max Lessard would score his 2nd goal of the game with 3:51 remaining in the 2nd period, this would end up being the game winner, with Peter MacKay adding an empty netter for the win.
The Sold Signs finished the Round Robin with 2 wins and 1 loss. The Alpines are now 0 and 2 and must win their next game, if they want any chance to make the Semi Finals.
The nightcap had the Wild Turkey's eliminated from the playoffs as they fell to Your Fathers Moustache 7 to 1.
The Wild would end up 0 and 3 in the Round Robin and finished the year without a win and only 1 tie during the regular season.
The Moustache would improve to 2 and 0 and advance to Semi Final, with one game remaining against the Dartmouth Alpines in the Round Robin.
Defenceman Jeff MacNeil burried a hatrick for YFM, with Neal Pashkoski adding a pair, Sean Fraser and game winner from Jamie Caron getting singles. The Moustache went 3 for 5 on the powerplay.
The last goal of the year for the Wild came from Adam Mayo.
