2016 Semi Finals start Tuesday

The 2016 Semi Finals begin with 2 games of Game 1 of the Best of 3 Series on Tuesday 19th.

The "Lake Series" sees the Realty Partner Rinkrats take on the defending Lake City Cup Champions' Your Fathers Moustache. 
These two teams met in the Lake City Cup Final in 2015, with the Moustache sweeping the Rinkrats. 
During the 2015-16 regular season the 1st Place Moustache played the 5th Place Rinkrats 4 times.
The season opener saw Your Fathers Moustache double up the Rinkrats 10 to 5. Their second meeting had YFM skate to a 4 to 1 victory.
The third clash of the season saw the Realty Partner Rinkats defeat the Moustache 3 to 1.
In their final meeting of the regular season, the Moustache outscored the Rinkrats 7 to 5.
In the regular season series, Moustache were led by Stewart MacRae, who had 7 goals ans 7 asists for 14 points. Neal Pashkoski had 4 goals and 8 helpers for 12 points and Sean Fraser had 6 goals and 5 assists for 11 points.
For the Rinkrats; Blake Trask had 3 goals and 2 helpers for 5 points and Chris Kelly found the net 3 times, with 1 assist.
Your Fathers Moustache would out score the realty Partner Rinkrats 22 to 14.
Both teams met again in the Round Robin series, with the Moustache winning the game 7 to 4.

In the "City Series"; the Realty Partners Sold Signs go up against the Secunda Mariners.
The season series had the Mariners winning 3 of the 4 games, all of them high scoring games.   
Sold Signs out lasted the Mariners 11 to 8 in their first meeting, followed by the Mariners crushing the Signs 11 to 4.
In the third meeting of the season had Secunda down the Realty Partners 7 to 4 and in their final clash of the year the Mariners slugged out a 9 to 8 victory, outscoring the Sold Signs 35 to 27, in 4 games. No "D" here goalies!
Top scorers during the regular season were Tyler Hawes 6 goals and 8 assists for 14 points, Jordan Cox had 7 red lightings and 5 helpers for 12 points and Jason Troini, who buried 4 goals and assited 4 times totaling 8 points for the Secunda Mariners.
The Sold Signs were led by Ryan Morris and his 9 goals, 3 assists, 12 points. Stu Lenehan popped in 7 goals along with a helper, for 8 points. Tyson Aalders and Ryan Fortune each had 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points in their games with the Mariners.

Despite winning 3 of the 4 meetings in the regular season series for the Moustache and the Mariners, the Rinkrats and Sold Signs can go into these short series, knowing they can beat them.
