Second Season to Start Tuesday 21st.

The 2006 Lake City Cup Playoffs start up on Tuesday, February 21st. The Playoff format goes as follows - the 1st place team (Dartmouth Alpines) get a first round bye; with 7th place (Your Fathers Moustache) versus 2nd place (Sandtrap Chiefs), 6th place (Scotiabank) take on 3rd place (Big Leagues' Rangers) and 4th place (T.J.Devils) play host to 5th place (Secunda Mariners) in the Best 2 out of 3 Quarter Finals.

PLAYER ELIGIBLITY
Players MUST have played a minimum of 9 regular season games to be eligible for playoffs. It is the teams responsiblity to check off the game reports prior to each game during the season. Our League's timekeeper also checked the game report for each game this season as well. Teams using a player that did not play the minimum 9 games will automaticly forfeit the game. If a teams goaltender can not make a game because of work, injury or emergency, that team can use a goaltender that played for them during the regular season but does not have in the minimum 9 games or can use another teams goaltender from the league only.

As much as I would like to help teams with a scheduling problem (player/s can't make a game for what ever reason) and I will if I can. Unfortunately I had 4 teams wanting to play on different dates in the first week, because of this I'm keeping the schedule as follows:

PLAYOFF OVERTIME
If the game is tied after regulation time the teams will play a 10 minute straight time sudden death / victory period, if still tied their will be a 5 player shootout (5 different players per team) and if still tied each team will shoot one player at a time until there's a winner (may use any of the first 5 players that shot in the 5 player shootout).
The home team decides which team shoots first.
