The following policy has been issued to all Gentlemen's Hockey Leagues playing at the Dartmouth Sportsplex.

Re: Drinking/ Smoking In Public Buildings
January 28, 2003
The passing of stricter rules regarding what goes on in arenas is making the general user of out facilities more aware of any infractions that may be occuring. The result being that management is being confronted more now when these laws are being broken. I personally have been approached on numerous occasions since January 1,2003. The most common complaint is smoking and/or drinking in the team room hallways, finding empty beer bottles and/or cigarette butts in the arena stands and people smoking at "smoke free" entrances.
You the players in the various arena leagues could cause your own demise. Stop drinking/smoking in public before the public stops you.
Thanks,
Rod Dickson
Arena Manager

Guys Rod also told me that the Leagues will now be timed when they get off the ice and out of the dressing rooms at the end of the night. They may start charging Leagues for overtime of their staff.
I know we are one of the Leagues abusing this policy, and I ask all players to cooperate with the Dartmoth Sportsplex.
Thank You

League President
