Lake City Cup Rematch

Due to the Dartmouth Sportsplex's Christmas Craft Show on Thursday 21st, there were only two games this week. The early game on Tuesday was the first meeting of the year between the Secunda Mariners and the Dartmouth Alpines, last seasons Lake City Cup Finalists. Like the final, the Alpines again defeated the Mariners, by a score of 8 to 4. Dartmouth improved their record to 3 wins and no losses, good for 1st place. The Alpines scored all the goals needed in the 1st period, 2 by Glen MacDonald, Graham McLeod, Chris Boutilier, and Darren Welsh, to lead 5 to 2 after the 1st, Dana Drake netted the two for the Mariners. Todd Parker had a hattrick in the 2nd period to round out the Alpines scoring, while Jeff Crowell and Keifer House replied for Secunda.
In the other game, Your Fathers Moustache woes continued as they fell to the Sandtrap Chiefs 7 to 3, to remain pointless for the season. Chiefs' Craig Whynot potted a hattrick and Roddy MacCormick had 4 helpers to lead the way, other scorers were Mark Walsh, Scott Cote, Trevor Doyle and Bill Morris. The Moustache had their biggest goal output of the season, with Marlo Downey, Mike Shea and Ken McDermit scoring a goal each.
