Your Fathers Moustache came into the week earning their first point of the season, with a 3 all tie against Scotiabank last Tuesday. The Moustache were due and nailed their first victory of the season, doubling up on the Big Leagues' Rangers 6 to 3. Led by Graham Sponagle's 2 goals and 2 assists helped them to the win. Jason Cannon fired a pair with Jamie MacVicar and Jeff Norrie adding singles. Craig Vincent, Trevor Lowthers and Reg Bowes replied for the losing Rangers.
In the earlier game Tuesday night, the Secunda Mariners downed Scotiabank 5 to 2. Two goals each from Sandor Fizli and Derek Taylor powered the Mariners, Shawn Doyle added the other goal. Rodney MacIntosh scored a shorthanded goal and assisted on Troy Stevens goal.

Thursday night games started with the Sandtrap Chiefs stumping the Mariners 8 to 3. The Chiefs missing their top two point leaders, Roddy MacCormick and Gord Dickie, got 2 each from Craig Whynot, Shane Gibbs and Darryl Braine plus singles from Paul Wright and Brian McIntoch. Keifer House, Dana Drake and John Robb scored a goal and an assist each for Secunda.
Scotiabank rebounded from Tuesday's loss by handing the Rangers their second defeat of the week, winning 5 to 2. Troy Stevens sniped 3 goals and 1 assist, including, finally a breakaway goal, albeit into a empty net. Danny Brewer had a goal and 2 assists, Rodney MacIntosh scored a powerplay goal for the victors. Shane Murphy had both goals for the slumping Rangers, while Richie Holmes assisted on both goals.
The last game of the week, had the Dartmouth Alpines rally from a 2 to 0 deficit to secure a 2 all overtime tie with the T.J. Devils. The Devils jumped out to a 2 to 0 lead on goals by Rhail Arsenault and Kelly Sebru. Alpines' Graham McLeod narrowed the score to 1 before the 1st period ended. Chris Boutilier scored early in the 2nd period to knot the score at 2. Both teams had a powerplay opportunity in overtime, but failed to take advantage of them.
