After missing a week at the Dartmouth Sportsplex, due to losing their ice. We were back at it on Tuesday, November 6th with the Dartmouth Alpines defeating the Secunda Mariners 5 to 4 in overtime. Alpines' Todd Parker popped a hat trick, including 2 of them shorthanded on the same penalty kill. Glenn MacDonald fired home the OT winner with 52 seconds remaining. Derek Taylor had a goal and 2 assists for the Mariners.
In the second game of the night the Rinkrats again only icing 7 skaters and a goalie, were flattened 8 to 3 by Scotian. Allan Coyle and Don Murray each scored 2 goals, with Murray's 2nd goal scored on a penalty shot. Dwayne Coyle also helped the Canadians with 4 assists. Rinkrats' Kelly Serbu and John MacKay had a goal and an assist each in the loss.
Thursday night had the Moose Light Shamrocks score 10 goals in consecutive games, this time with a 10 to 4 bombing of Bacardi Rangers. Jules Laraque hit the twine 4 times and added a helper, while teammate Roddy MacCormick fired 3 past Paul Forest and added 2 helpers. Allan Lake hit the net twice for Bacardi.
In the last game of the week, we had our first shutout of the season with Dartmouth blanking Your Fathers Moustache 5 to 0. Shamrocks' Jason White picked up the donut for the Alpines, who once again were led by Todd Parker's 2 goals. The win leaves the Alpines undefeated at 3 and 0.
