Wild Turkey's and Dartmouth Alpines Clash.
Week 10; Mariners nip Rinkrats, Moustache and Sold Signs settle in the last 5 minutes, Alpines and Wild in a scoring fest.Tuesday's game between Secunda Mariners and Realty Partner Rinkrats began Week 10.
After a 2 to 2 score at the end of the 1st, on goals by Mariners ' Jason Troini and Dean Tucker, with Chris MacNeil and Scott Leaverman replying for the Rinkrats.
The Mariners jumped out in the 2nd scoring 3 straight goals by Richard Cashin, Chris O'Donnell and Tyler Hass to take a 5 to 2 lead. The Rats made a game of it when they scored 2 goals 21 seconds apart by Joe Sanford and Justin Dowding with just over 4 minutes remaining, to narrow the score to 5 to 4 for the Mariners. Secunda's Andrew Sim shut the door the rest of the way, handing the Rinkrats only their 2nd loss of the season.
Thursday's early game had Your Fathers Moustache skate by the Realty Partners Sold Signs 5 to 4.
Trailling 2 to 1 to the Sold Signs with just over 5 minutes remaining in the 2nd period. Tyson Aalders and Michael Crawley scoring powerplay goals for the Signs and Neal Paskoski popping a powerplay goal for YFM.
Moustache would even the score at 2 with 5:15 remaining on a goal from Glenn Dahlgren and then took the lead 28 seconds later from Jeff MacNeil.
Jonathan Clarke of the Sold Signs would come right back on the faceoff and tie the game 3, 8 seconds later, with 4:39 remaining.
YFM's Sean Fraser and Dahlgren's 2nd of the game 31 seconds apart, at 1:35 and 1:04 gave the 'stache a 5 to 3 lead.
14 seconds later Michael Crawley would nail his second of the game, but that would be as close as they could make it and fall 5 to 4.
The nightcap would turn out to be a scoring fest, as the Dartmouth Alpines would out last the Wild Turkey's 12 to 9.
Jason Thibeau lead the attack with 4 goals, with Matt Quinn and Phil Diochon popping a pair each. Steve Nelson, Jeff Lockhart, Nick Pearl and John Gleason's game winner scoring for the Alpines.
The Wild had a 4 goal output from Todd Miles, with Jordie Mann firing a hattrick and Scott Sheffer burying a pair in the defeat.
