Rinkrats celebrate goal against Your Fathers Moustache.

Week 14; 1st Place on the line Rats vs YFM; Mariners smother Sold Signs; Alpines roasts Turkey's; Budget update.

Week 14 started with a battle for 1st Place as both Your Fathers Moustache and Realty Partner Rinkrats went into the game with a 8 - 2 - 1 record for 17 points each. The Rinkrats moved into a 1st Place tie, winning last week over the Wild Turkey's and the Moustache losing only their 2nd game of the season to Secunda Mariners.
The Rinkrats jumped out early, only 14 seconds to start the game on a goal from Mitch Wallace.
Sean Fraser's unassited goal tie the game at one, 3:01 later.
Jeff Sanford would score a powerplay goal with 7:01 remaining in the 1st period to give the Rats a 2 to 1 lead after 1, this would turn out to be the game winner as well.
Realty Partner would add 2 more goals in the 2nd, from Luke MacDonald and another powerplay goal from Huey Lasaga.
That would be the final score, 4 to 1 for the Rinkrats over the Moustache and move them 2 points up for 1st Place.
It was YFM 3rd loss of the season, 2nd in a row and 2nd to the Rinkrats.

Thursday saw a couple of one sided affairs. The Early game had Secunda Mariners smother Realty Partners Sold Signs 9 to 4, with all the damage coming in the 2nd period.
The Mariners jumped out to a 3 to 0 lead on goals from Richard Cashen, Jamie Vautour and Tyler Hawes. Sold Signs answered back with 3 of there own before the period ended. Two goals from Tyson Aalders and one from Clayton Rogers to draw even at 3 after the 1st period.
The Mariners would flex their muscles in the 2nd period, scoring 6 goals to Signs 1. Cole Hawes buried a pair, Tyler Hawes and Jamie Vautour added their 2nd of the game, with Andrew Hawrylak and Dean Tucker contributing as well. Michael Crawley added Signs only goal of the 2nd.
The win moves the Mariners only 2 points behind 2nd Place Moustache, but have played 1 more game.

The last game of the week had the Dartmouth Alpines roast the Wild Turkey's 11 to 4. Tim Foster lead the way with 3 goals and 2 assists for the Alpines. Matt Quinn, Jason Thibeau and Evan Bezanson each had a pair, while Steve Healy, David Bourne added singles in the romp.
The Wild lost their 13th game and remain pointless. Ryan Taylor and Todd Miles each found the net twice.
Both goaltenders had assists, 2 from Alpines' Bryan Gillis and 1 from Dan Chiddenton of the Wild.
