Mariners Continue to Win, Wild Continue to Lose.

Week 20; Final week for some teams; Rinkrats fighting for 1st, defeat the Alpines; Mariners end season winning their 11th straight; Wild go pointless for the season, after losing their 20th game, 9 to 4 to the Moustache.

Week 20 had a couple of teams finish their regular season and both going in opposite directions. 

Tuesday night had the Realty Partner Rinkrats move back into a 1st Place tie with the Secunda Mainers, after doubling up on the Dartmouth Alpines 4 to 2.
The Rinkrats had 4 different goal scorers; Blake Trask, Huey Lasaga, Scott Leverman and Chris MacNeil.
Steve Healy had a goal and a helper on Matt Quinn's tally for the Alpines.
Both teams have 1 game remaining before playoffs.

Thursday had the Secunda Mariners finish off their regular season with their 11th straight win, 7 to 5 over Realty Partners Sold Signs.
The victory moved them 2 point up on the Rinkrats for 1st Place and finished the season with 14 wins, 4 losses, 1 tie and 1 overtime loss for 30 points.
The Rinkrats are currently 13, 4, 2, 0 for 28 points.

If the Rinkrats win next week against Your Fathers Moustache, they would move back into a 1st Place tie with points.
The breakdown for who clinches 1st is as follows:
1. Team with the most wins,
2. Team with better goals for and against differential,
3. Team with the better head to head record against each other, a) The team with the most wins, b) The team with the better goals for and against differential.
4. Team with the least amount of penalty minutes (regular season),
5. Coin Toss.

2 goals each from Graeme Power, Tyler Hawes, Cole Hawes and a lone goal from Jim Morash propelled the Mariners over the Sold Signs.
Tyler Noseworthyhad 2 goals and 2 assist, while Tyson Aalders had a goal and 3 helpers in defeat. Michael Crawley and Scott MacDonald also chipped in.

Sold Signs have 1 remaining game, next Tuesday against the Dartmouth Alpines for 4th place. It is the makeup game from January's snow storm. They currently lead the Alpines by 1 point.

The last game of the week saw a new league record astablished for futility. The Wild Turkey's became the first franchise to go pointless during the regular season, going 0 - 20 - 0 - 0.
Your Fathers Moustache handed them their 20 loss, a 9 to 4 thumping.
Stewart MacRae potted 4 goals, while Sean Fraser and Neal Pashkoski each found the twine twice. Scott Chaisson had the other goal for the Moustache.
Nick Sheffer buried a pair, Todd Miles and Scott Sheffer added singles for the Turkey's.

The Moustache will try to stop the Rinkrats from having any chance for 1st Place when they meet next week for the season finallies.

Round Robin Playoffs start next Thursday, March 12th.
