Semi Finals Begin

The Round Robin ended on Tuesday, giving us who would play who in the Best of 3 Semi Finals.
The early game had the Realty Partner Rinkrats nipping the Realty Partners Sold Signs 7 to 6. The win secured 1st place for the Rinkrats and the Sold Signs would end up finishing 4th, and setting up a Semi Final matchup.
The Rinkrats jumped out to a 5 to 1 lead after the 1st period on goals from Jeff Sanford, Huey Lasaga, Joe Sanford, Dave Roode and Mark Tanner. Scott MacDonald replied for the Signs.
The 2nd period was to complete opposite with the Signs scoring 5 goals from Michael Crawley with 2, Jordan Lind, Jeff Kielbratowski and Scott MacDonald's 2nd of the game. Only problem for the Signs, the Rinkrats scored 2; Mark Tanner's 2nd and Justin Dowding with the game winner.

In the last game of the Round Robin, the Wild Turkey's would fall to Your Fathers Moustache 7 to 1.
Stewart MacRae led the way with 2 goals and a helper. Five other goal scorers were; Glenn Dahlgren, Kyle Cuvelier, Sean Fraser, Guy Boudreau and Neal Pashkoski.
The Wild's last goal of the season was by their leading scorer Todd Miles.
The Moustache would finish in 2nd place and face the 3rd place Secunda Mariners, the team they lost to in last season's Lake City Cup Final.

Game 1 of the Semi Finals started on Thursday, with the early game between the Sold Signs and the Rinkrats.
The teams would be tied at 3 after the 1st period, with Ryan Boucher, Michael Crawley and Tyson Aalders scoring for the Signs and Mitchell Wallace, Rob Ritchie and Scott Leverman finding the twine for the Rinkrats.
The Sold Signs would take a 4 to 3 lead with 8:37 remaining in regulation time, on Michael Crawley's 2nd of the game.
The Rinkrats would tie the game up at 4, with a shorthanded goal from Jeff Sanford, with 4:52 remaining.
The Rinkrats would take the lead with only 1:42 left in the 2nd period and just like their Round Robin game, Justin Dowding would fire what would be the game winner, as they held onto a 5 to 4 victory in Game 1.

Game 1 of the nightcap game had rematch of last season's Lake City Cup Final. The defending Champions were thumped by Your Fathers Moustache 8 to 2.
The League's Leading Scorer Neal Pashkowski led the attack with 4 goals and a helper. Sean Fraser also found the net twice, while Kyle Cuvelier, Stewart MacRae adding singles for the Moustache.
Tyler Hawes and Jim Morash replied for the Mariners.

Game 2 of the Best of 3 Semi Finals goes Monday and if necessary Game 3 will go Tuesday at the Shearwater Flyers Forum.
