The Winners Are!

The 2014-15 Lake City Gentlemen's Hockey League came to an end this past week, with Your Fathers Moustache winning the Lake City Cup.

The Regular Season saw the Secunda Mariners win the Regular Season Standings Title with a 14 win, 4 loss, 1 tie and 1 overtime loss for 30 points. Realty Partner Rinkrats actually ended up with almost the same record of 14-4-2-0 = 30 points, but finished 2nd due to Goals For and Against Differential. Mariners ended up with a +40, while the Rinkrats had a +33.
Your Fathers Moustache finished 3rd with 25 points, Dartmouth Alpines 4th (more wins) with 19 points, Realty Partners Sold Signs 19 points and the Wild Turkey's finished in 6th place.

The Regular Season Award Winners were; starting with League Most Valuable Player, went to Realty Partner Rinkrats goaltender Tyler Ravlo. Tyler had a record of 13 wins, 4 losses, 2 ties and a goals against average of 2.98.
Tyler Ravlo also claimed his and the franchises first Top Goaltending Award. Andrew Sim of the Secunda Mariners finished 2nd with a 4.50 GAA.

The 2014-15 Regular Season Top Scorer went to Neal Pashkoski of Your Fathers Moustache. Neil won his first Scoring Title with 29 goals, 31 assists for 60 points, he also had 2 powerplay, 2 shorthanded goals and 2nd in the League with 4 Game Winning Goals in 20 games.
Your Fathers Moustache have won this award 12 times over their 27 year history.
Michael Crawley of Realty Partners Sold Signs finished 2nd with 26 goals, 30 assits for 56 points in 18 games.

2014-15 Most Gentlemanly Player was Dartmouth Alpines Jason Thibeau. Jason played in all 20 games and had 0 penalty minutes.
Neal Pashkoski of Your Fathers Moustache and Rob Ritchie of Realty Partner Rinkrats also finished the season with 0 penalty minutes.

The 2015 Lake City Cup Playoffs had Your Fathers Moustache claim their 5th Lake City Cup, winning 3 games to 0 over Realty Partner Rinkrats. Your Fathers Moustache Championship team was; Aaron Akitt, Todd Bengert (g), Guy Boudreau, Jeff Camery, Scott Chaisson, Kody Cuvelier (g), Kyle Cuvelier, Glenn Dahlgren, Terry Forbes, Sean Fraser, Steve MacDonald, Jeff MacNeil, Eric MacQuarrie, Stewart MacRae, Neal Pashkoski and Brad Stewart. 
Neal Pashkoski scored the Championship winning goal.

Most Valuable Player and Top Playoff Scorer was Your Fathers Moustache Guy Boudreau. Guy lead the Playoffs with 8 goals, including back to hattricks in Games 1 and 2 of the Finals, 14 assists for 22 points in 8 Playoff Games.
This was Guy's first season in the League.
 
Top Playoff Goaltender was Your Fathers Moustache Kody Cuevelier. Cody had 15 goals against in 7 Playoff games for a goals against average of 2.14. This was Cody's first Top Playoff Goaltender Award.

With the 2014-15 Lake City Gentlemen's Hockey League 33rd season coming to an end, I would like to thank your Team Govenors; John Robb of the Mariners, Rob Ritchie - Rinkrats, Jeff Lockhart - Alpines, Peter MacKay - Sold Signs, Kyle Cuvelier - Moustache and Scott Sheffer of the Turkey's. These guys make it happen for your teams.
I hope all the players that participated in our League this season enjoyed the game our League plays.

A special thanks to our Leagues Timekeeper Colin Matthews, who worked every game and made my job easy with his commitment to the League.

To Rick MacIntyre and all of his on ice officials, who helped make our League the Best that it can be.

Would also like to thank the Dartmouth Sportsplex and Cara MacInnis and Shearwater Flyers Forum's Hal Puddifant for hospitality this past season.

I hope you all enjoyed the season. I had fun writing the weekly stories and adding photo's of the players to the web site (hopefully I got them right), trying to make the site fun. I've updated some of the Leagus's past as well.

The League might go through some changes for next season. Players, Team Govenors please think of things that will make the League even better.
