Turkey's Start the New Year with a Point!

Week 13; Moustache lose 2 in a row; Turkey's earn a point, with a 2 to 2 tie with Rinkrats; Alpines with a 6 to 4 comback victory over Sold Signs; Canadian Figure Skating Championships; Emergency Phone; Budget Update.

2016 started Week 13, and had long time rivals Your Fathers Moustache and Secunda Mariners have a goalfest.
The Mariners would hand the Moustache their 2 sraight loss, after they had won their first 9 games, by a score of 7 to 6.
The Mariners had seven diffierent goal scorers; Chris O'Donnell started it off and added 2 helpers, Dean Tucker, Cole Hawes, Jason Troini, Rob Sneath, Tyler Hawes and game winner from Kyle Morash, with 2:42 remaining.
Moustache's Terry Forbes had 2 goals and 2 asssists, with Stewart MacRea adding a pair with a helper, Jeff MacNeil and Aaron Akitt had singles in their loss.

Thursday saw the Wild Turkey's earn their first point since February 13th 2014, a total of 33 games, when they tied the Realty Partner Rinkrats 2 to 2 with 3:02 remaining in the 2nd period.
Rats' Chris Kelly scored his 5th of the season early in the 1st period, with Trevor MacDonald tying it at 1 halfway through the 1st.
Chris MacNeil put the Rinkrats up 2 to 1 at 18:45 of the 2nd, but could not get a third goal past goaltender Matt Pike.
Wilds' alltime scoring leader Todd Miles would score his first of the season to tie it a 2, earning them their first point.
Overtime would solve nothing.

The last game of the week, saw the Realty Partners Sold Signs open up a 3 to 0 lead on the Dartmouth Alpines, on goals from Stu Lenehan and a pair by Tyson Aalders, just under 5 minutes into the game.
Alpines' Tim Foster powerplay goal, followed by Jason Thibeau narrowing the game to 3 to 2. Signs Ryan Fortune would add a powerplay goal to finish off the 1st period with a 4 to 2 lead.
The 2nd period was all Alpines, as they would fire 4 unanwsered goals, from Tim Foster and Jason Thibeau's 2nd of the game, Evan Bezanson and Matt Quinn, to complete the comeback.

The Canadian Figure Skating Championships are being hosted by Halifax at the Scotiabank Centre. The Dartmouth Sportsplex has been choosen as the practice facility for the event. Our games scheduled for Tuesday, January 19th and Thursday, January 21st have been rescheduled.
These game will be on our site soon, a 2nd game on upcoming Tuesdays will be added.


The Dartmouth Sportsplex has installed an emergency phone in the hall by dressing room #2. This phone has only a direct line to the Front Desk.
