Now that the 2004 Playoffs have started, we'll share some fun Playoff History Facts. Did You Know... That all the teams that have won the Lake City Cup have their Players names engraved on the Cup, with the exception of the 1983 and 1984 winners Nova Lada. Statistics were not available for the first two seasons of the League. Did You Know... Jim Morash of the Big Leagues' Rangers has his name on the Lake City Cup the most, with 6. Did You Know... Clinching First Place in the Regular Season does not guarantee winning the Lake City Cup. Only 8 teams in our past 21 years have won both. Did You Know... When the League expanded to 8 teams from 6 in 1986-87 season, only the top 4 teams competed for the Cup, the bottom 4 played for the 'B' Division Trophy. This format lasted through to the 1992 Playoffs. Did You Know... The Rangers have won the most Lake City Cups with 6 and participated in the Finals 9 times. MacPhee Pontiac, Your Fathers Moustache and the Dartmouth Alpines are next, winning the Cup 3 times each. Did You Know... The most overtime appearances by a team is 12 by the Rangers (7 wins, 5 losses) and the Chiefs (5 wins, 7 losses). Did You Know... Dan Trider of Crazy Horse (Moustache) holds Playoff Records for Points, 27 and Goals, 18, both accomplished during the 1989 Playoffs. Alex Reinbold of the Metro Combines has the Record for Assists, with 16 in 1993. Did You Know... Kenny Way of Cricket's Beverage Room scored 9 points, 5 goals and 4 assists, April 5, 1992, versus Big Leagues' Red Wings, in a 12 to 8 shootout. Did You Know... Bob Weaver of the Rangers was the Top Playoff Goaltender, 6 years straight from 1992 to 1997.  Did You Know... That 12 of the 43 games that went in to overtime, were decided by a Shootout.
