With just 3:51 remaining in regulation time the Moustache's Andrew MacVicar scored to take the lead for the first time in the game, that was followed up by Graham Sponagle hattrick goal 14 seconds later, to take a 5 to 3 lead. The Mariners now playing desperate hockey narrowed the score on Andy Clark's second of the game. As fate would have it, Secunda tied the game with 57 seconds remaining, on a goal by Kevin Lynch, to force overtime. In overtime, the comeback was completed for the Mariners. Andy Clark's third goal of the game, scored at 4:55 of the first overtime period, to eliminate Your Fathers Moustache from the Playoffs. Andy was on his game, as he also had three assists to go with his hattrick. The Mariners now must wait for the winner of the T.J. Devils and Scotiabank series to be decided.

Game Three, the deciding game of the Big Leagues' Rangers and the Dartmouth Alpines also took place Tuesday, but at Cole Harbour Place. The Rangers jumped out to a 1 to 0 lead on a goal by Reg Bowes, his first of the Playoffs, at 7:58 of the first. Alpines' Glen MacDonald knotted the game at one, at 4:30, to end the first period tied 1 to 1. Big Leagues again took the lead on a powerplay goal by Brian Melanson. Dartmouth replied with a powerplay goal of their own at 9:28, Jay Washington doing the damage. The Alpines took their first lead of the game on a goal by Peter Gallant, his second of the series, at 6:00 minute mark. That goal proved to be the series winner and Peter's second game winning goal. The Rangers pulled goaltender Paul Forest for an extra attacker, but to no avail as Glen MacDonald scored his second goal of the game into an empty net, to give the Dartmouth Alpines a 4 to 2 win. The two time Lake City Cup Champions will now face the Sandtrap Chiefs in the Best of Three Semi Final.
