Realty Partners Sold Signs versus Secunda Mariners in the 2017 Lake City Cup Final. Head to head history.

The 2017 Lake City Cup Final has David (Realty Partners Sold Signs) versus Goliath (Secunda Mariners) in the Best of 3 Final, starting Tuesday 25th at the Dartmouth Sportsplex.

The 2016-17 Regular Season saw the Mariners win three of the four games over the Sold Signs by scores of 12 to 2, 8 to 4 and 8 to 5, with the Realty Partners winning the last meeting of the season by a score of 9 to 7. Secunda outscored the Sold Signs 35 to 20 and were led by Chris O’Donnell and Brad Ryckmond with 10 points each. Stu Lenehan of the Sold Signs led all scorers with 6 goals, 5 assists for 11 points.

The 4th place Sold Signs, making their first trip to the Lake City Cup Final, were led by Stu Lenehan’s 25 goals, 25 helpers for 50 points, followed by Andrew Wiggs’ 12 goals and 28 assists for 40 points. Goaltender Keith Walters will be tested often by the Mariners.

The Secunda Mariners finished in 2nd place during the Regular Season, although tied with the 1st place Your Fathers Moustache in wins and points, but ended up in 2nd due to goals for and against differential.  Secunda Mariners were led by Dom Howell and his 19 goals, 23 assists for 42 points. Cole Hawes had 23 goals, 17 helpers for 40 points along with Jordan Cox with 16 goals, 24 assists for 40 points. Andrew Sim will be the target for the Sold Signs.

Secunda Mariners and Realty Partners Sold Signs met in the 2017 Round Robin portion of the playoffs with the Mariners winning the game 6 to 5.
This will be only the second time the two teams have met in a series. The two teams clashed in the 2016 Best of 3 Semi Final, with the Mariners winning in two straight games by scores of 9 to 8 and 9 to 7.

As mentioned earlier, this is the Realty Partners Sold Signs first chance at the Lake City Cup, while the Secunda Mariners will be looking for their 6th Lake City Cup Championship. Mariners’ Jim Morash will be playing for his 8th Lake City Cup.
