With the 2003-04 season just finished, several players from the Lake City Gentlemen's Hockey League participated in the 7th Annual Molson Cup Gentlemen's Hockey Tournament held this past weekend at the Halifax Metro Centre.
Players include from the Lake City Cup Champions; Dartmouth Alpines, Chris Boutilier; Secunda Mariners, Corey Irving, Scott Pellerine, Shawn Doyle, Jeff Thompson, Chris Kelly, Steve Widmeyer, Andy Clark, John Robb, Kenny Douglas, James Bugden, Mark Alexander; Sandtrap Chiefs, Shane Gibbs, Mark Walsh, Gord Dickie, Trevor Doyle, Craig Whynot, Dan Uberoi; T.J. Devils, Jamie O'Donnell, Scott Dicks, Rhail Arsenault, Dave Roode, Scott Fairburn, Danny Puma, Steve Kinch, Benny Kirton, Dave Fallows, Robbie Rodgers; Big Leagues' Rangers, Reg Bowes, Craig Booker; Scotiabank, Troy Stevens, Dan Guindon, Mike MacIssac; Your Fathers Moustache, Andrew MacVicar, Ken McDermit, Laurie Cuvelier; Fairview Aces, Mark Gray, Matt Iceton, Jason Iceton, Albert Saracini, Dwayne Findley, Bremwell Beck, Mark Laprise; and League President Kelly Saunders was the Tournament Organizer.
It was great tournament with some of the best gentlemen's hockey played this season. Interesting to see so many teammates of teams in the Lake City Gentlemen's Hockey League compete against each other.
Congratulation to the Molson Canadians for winning the Molson Cup 7 Tournament. Players from the league that were on the winning team were; Jeff Thompson (team rep), Chris Kelly (Tournament M.V.P.), Steve Widmeyer, Kenny Douglas, James Bugden of the Secunda Mariners; Dan Uberoi, Sandtrap Chiefs and Benny Kirton from the T.J. Devils.
