Aces' Fold!

2004-10-03

The Fairview Aces' team Govenor Trevor Umlah, informed League President Kelly Saunders on Friday that they could not ice a team for the upcoming 2004-05 season. Lack of commitment from players sited as the reason for folding.

The Aces joined the Lake City Gentlemen's Hockey League in the 1997-98 season, finishing in 2nd place and making it to the Lake City Cup Final in their first season. Fairview's seven year run saw them play 168 regular season games, winning 78, losing 78, tying12 and 8 overtime losses, scoring 750 goals and having 749 goals scored against them. In the playoffs, although never winning the Lake City Cup, they did reach the Finals once and the Semi-Finals 3 times.

On behalf of the league, Kelly Saunders would like to thank Bernie Lawlor, Steve Lawlor and Trevor Umlah for their commitment and contributions to their team and the Lake City Gentlemen's Hockey League.
