Three Split

The League just finished it's first full week of five games, on Thursday. With only seven teams operating this season, their are three teams that will play twice in a week. Starting on Tuesday, The Big Leagues' Rangers won their first game of the season with a convincing 6 to 1 victory over Your Fathers Moustache. Rangers' Craig Booker led the charge with 2 goals and an assist. Reg Bowes, Jim Morash, Shane Murphy and Craig Vincent added singles for Big Leagues. Marlo Downey replied for Your Fathers Moustache. In the second game of the night the Secunda Mariners squeaked by Scotiabank 6 to 5. Keifer House scored a hattrick and Dana Drake, Rick Findlay and Shawn Doyle rounded out the scoring for the Mariners. Scotiabank's Todd Miles nailed 2 goals and an assist, while Donny MacNeil, Danny Brewer and new comer Don Murray finished off the scoring.
 
Thursday's early game had the Dartmouth Alpines improve to 2 and 0 with a 4 to 3 win over T.J. Devils. Dwight Lucas and Jay Washington potted a pair each for Dartmouth. Team captain Rob Ritchie, Scott Fairburn and Dave Roode replied for the Devils as they fall to 1 win and 2 losses for the season. The Secunda Mariners coming off their 6 to 5 win on Tuesday fell to the Sandtrap Chiefs 7 to 4. Chiefs' Roddy MacCormick had 2 goals and 2 assists to power them to victory. Mark Walsh also netted a pair and Craig Whynot, Trevor Doyle and Gord Dickie each had a goal. Mariners' Keifer House scored all 4 goals for Secunda. The nightcap saw Scotiabank double up on the Big Leagues' Rangers 6 to 3. Marcello Fabrizi scored the trick and Danny Brewer had a goal and 3 assists for Scotiabank. Allen Coyle and Todd Miles added a goal each in their win. Mark Whebby scored 2 goals and Shane Murphy had the other for the Rangers.
