Chiefs Win Big With 'PRO-LINE'

A full set of games this week, started on Tuesday with the undefeated Dartmouth Alpines doubling up on the pointless Your Fathers Moustache 8 to 4. Led by Jay Washington's 6th and 7th goals of the season, plus an assist and Todd Parker's pair of goals and assist, helped the Alpines to the win. Chris Boutilier, David Denike, Dwight Lucas and Pat Tardif added singles for Dartmouth, who are now 4 and 0 for 8 points and alone in first place. Your Fathers Moustache's Justin Brown had 2 goals and an assist in the loss, Andrew MacVicar and Mike Spurr also found the net.
The Sandtrap Chiefs put a line of Gord Dickie, Roddy MacCormick and Mike Johnson together against Scotiabank and dominated. Roddy led the 'PRO-LINE' with 7 goals and 3 assists, followed by Mike with 1 goal and 7 assists and Gord with a goal and 6 assists for a total of 25 points in their 10 to 5 thumping over Scotiabank. Shane Gibbs also added one for the Chiefs. Scotiabank replied with goals from five different players, Allen Coyle, Danny Brewer, Todd Miles, Doug Mollon and Glen Buchanan. Roddy's 10 point game vaulted him into the league's scoring race lead with 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points in just 4 games.

Thursday night had the Big Leagues' Rangers move back to .500 on the season, by handing old rival Dartmouth Alpines their first loss of the season, a 3 to 1 victory. First period goals by Reg Bowes and Jim Morash of Big Leagues' was all that was needed. Alpines' David Denike narrowed the score to one before Rangers' Allen Lake popped in an empty net goal to secure the win.
Scotiabank rebounded from their loss to the Chiefs on Tuesday with a 7 to 3 win over the T.J. Devils. Two goals each by Allen Coyle, Doug Mollon and Troy Stevens plus a goal by Danny Brewer powered Scotiabank. The Devils had goals by Steve Kinch, Dave Roode and Troy Ritcey. Scotiabank's record improves to 3 wins and 2 losses, while the T.J. Devils fall to 1 and 3.
The last game of the night had goals a plenty, as the Secunda Mariners outscored Your Fathers Moustache 10 to 6. The Mariners scored 5 goals in each period, as Keifer House, Jeff Crowell, Dean Tucker and John Robb each netted a pair. Shawn Doyle and Dana Drake added a goal each in the win. Your Fathers Moustache had their biggest goal output of the season, but it was not enough, as they fall to 0 wins and 5 losses on the season. Justin Brown once again led the way for the 'stache with 2 goals and 2 assists. Jamie MacVicar, Greg Matherson, Mike Shea and Mike Barcley added the other goals for Your Fathers Moustache.
