Mariners Sink 'Bank and Chiefs

The Secunda Mariners entered the holiday break with two wins, defeating both Scotiabank and ending the Sandtrap Chiefs 12 game winning steak.
Mariners' Dana Drake led the charge scoring 3 goals and an assist in their 7 to 3 victory over Scotiabank on Tuesday night. Dean Tucker, Jeff Crowell, Doug Clarke and Rick Findley rounded out the scoring for Secunda. Scotiabank's Mike MacIssac tallied a pair, with Rodney MacIntosh adding a single.
In the nightcap, the T.J. Devils rallied for a 6 to 5 come back overtime victory over the Big Leagues' Rangers.
The Devils pulled their goaltender Jamie O'Donnell for an extra attacker late in the game and it paid off with Tim Boyce tying the game at 5 with 22 seconds left in regulation time. In overtime, again with only 22 seconds remaining, Chris O'Donnell scored his third of the game to complete the come back. Dave Roode scored the other 2 goals for the Devils. The Rangers' were led by Reg Bowes' hattrick, with Mike Regimbal and Allan Lake adding singles.

Thursday had the Dartmouth Alpines double up on the T.J. Devils 6 to 3. Alpines' Jay Washington potted 4 goals with Chris Boutilier adding a pair of powerplay goals. Devils had goals from Kenny Hughes, Chris O'Donnell and Dave Roode. 
The Big Leagues' Rangers rebounded from Tuesday's loss with a 5 to 2 win over Your Fathers Moustache. Craig Vincent scored a shorthanded and the game winning goals, while Brian Melanson, Shane Murphy and Mike Regimbal added to the win. Ken McDermit and Mike Shea replied for Your Fathers Moustache.
Secunda Mariners had their second victory of the week and stopped the Sandtrap Chiefs 12 game winning steak with a 8 to 5 thumping. Trailling 3 to 2 after the 1st period, the Mariners blitzed for 6 straight goals. The deficit was too much for the Chiefs to over come. Mariners' Andy Clark scored 2 goals with Jeff Crowell, Sandor Fizli, Derek Taylor, Rick Findley, Doug Clarke and Dana Drake had singles. The Chiefs' Gord Dickie had a pair, with Trevor Doyle, Brian McIntoch and Scott Cote also scoring.
