2003-11-14

The Secunda Mariners and the Sandtrap Chiefs entered the week as the last two teams without a loss. On Tuesday night both teams met for the first time. Mariners' line of  Steve Widmeyer, Keifer House and Chris Kelly combined for a total of 17 points, as they throttled the Chiefs 13 to 5. The other game that night, had Big Leagues' Rangers come back from  2 to 0, to double up on Scotiabank 6 to 3. Rangers' Reg Bowes and Shane Murphy each had a pair of goals.

On Thursday night the Mariners hoped to add to their teams  5 and 0 record, but the T.J. Devils had other ideas and handed Secunda  their first loss of the season, winning 7 to 4, led by Rob Ritchie and Kenny Hughes hat tricks. The second game of the evening pitted the two winless teams, the Fairview Aces taking on Your Fathers Moustache. Two goals by Pat Gray helped the Aces defeat the 'Stache 4 to 2. In the last game of the night, the Chiefs were out to avenge their loss on Tuesday, taking on the Dartmouth Alpines. The Alpines jumped out to a 3 to 0 lead before the Chiefs rallied with eight straight goals, and went on to a 10 to 5 victory. Roddy MacCormick led the comeback with 3 goals and 2 assists.
