Slumps Continue.....

Your Fathers Moustache entered the week looking for their first win of the season, first point for that matter. The 'Stache 0-5-0-0 so far took on the Secunda Mariners. Your Fathers Moustache jumped out to a 3 to 0 lead on a pair of goals by Craig MacDonald, before the Mariners replied. Heading into the second period trailing 4 to 1, Secunda tallied first with a goal by Steve Widmeyer. The 'Stache regained their three goal lead at the 13:10 mark on Justin Brown's  3rd goal of the season. Less than a minute later Mariners' John Robb's scored his 1st of 2, and the comeback had started. Keifer House would score 3 goals in the final 9 minutes to keep the Moustashe winless and pointless. Speaking of slumps the defending two time Lake City Cup Champions, Dartmouth Alpines lost their third straight game, albeit the latest in overtime to Scotiabank 3 to 2. The 'Banks Dan Guindon scored with just 6 seconds remaining in OT. Must be something about the Alpines blue jersys. In other games this week, the Chiefs rallied from 3 goals to defeat the Rangers 4 to 3. Scotiabank downed the Fairview Aces 6 to 2 on Tuesday night. Thursday night the Aces picked up their second win of year with a 10 to 6 upset over T.J.Devils.
