Game 2 of the best of five Lake City Cup Finals took place Thursday night, with the Secunda Mariners coming back more ways than one.

Trailling the series one game to none, the Mariners came back twice in the game, forcing it into overtime, where they tied the series at one game apiece, with an exciting 5 to 4 victory.
Secunda took it's first lead of the series at 17:51 mark of the 1st period, on a shot from the point, from Rick Findley. Dean Tucker and Shawn Doyle drew assists on the goal.

Roddy put the Chiefs up, with his 2nd of the game, at 12:29 of the 1st, with Mark Walsh and Brian McIntoch chipping in with helpers. Sandtrap increased their lead to 3 to 1 with a great breakout goal by Mark Walsh. MacCormick won the faceoff in their zone to Shane Gibbs, who feed a perfect pass to Walsh, who broke up the middle for a breakaway from center ice to roof a shot past goaltender Corey Irving.
The Mariners narrowed the score with 4:44 remaining in the 1st, as Keifer House notched his first of the series, assisted by Andrew Hawrylak and Doug Clark.

The play, like game one, was again end to end. The first penalty of the series took place at 15:14 of the 2nd period, as Troy Stewart, of the Chiefs, was called for body checking. The Chiefs killed off the penalty.
Dana Drake of Secunda tied the game at 3, at 11:38, on a great cross ice pass from House, with Findlay chipping in as well.
Sandtrap would regain the lead, with 5:57 remaining in the 2nd. Roddy MacCormick would blast his third of the game and fourth point of the game, to give them a 4 to 3 lead.
With just 13 seconds remaining in regulation time and a faceoff in the Chiefs zone, the Mariners pulled Irving, for an extra attacker. The move paid off as Drake dug out the puck along the boards behind the net, to get it to House, who wrapped it around past goaltender Jason White, with just one second remaining.

The Mariners would complete their come back in the game and the series at 4:14 mark of the 1st overtime period. Doug Clark scored his first of the finals, just beating White on a cross ice pass. Keifer House and Dana Drake assisted on the OT winner.

The game saw two of the league's premier players strut their stuff. Mariners' Keifer House picking up 2 goals and 2 assists, including the game tying goal with one second remaining in the 2nd period and Chiefs' Roddy MacCormick firing a hattrick and a helper.
