Week 16 - Recap Shamrocks streak continues. Alpines thump the Rats. Canadians OT victory. Moustache plucked by Mariners.

The winning streak continues for the Moose Light Shamrocks, as they nipped the Bacardi Rangers 3 to 2, to extend the streak to 9 straight games. Jason Troini of the Moose led the way with a goal and 2 assists, Steve Snell and Sebastien Decaens added the other goals in the victory. Decaens' goal was with just 30 seconds remaining in regulation time.
Rangers' Allan Lake and Brian Melanson replied in the loss.

The first place Dartmouth Alpines, playing their first of two this week, showed no mercey to the last place Rinkrats, pounding them 8 to 2.
Alpines' Jay Washington and Todd Parker each had 2 goals and a helper. Other goal scorers were Graham MacLeod, Dave Denike with the game winner, Ian Sullivan and Glen MacDonald.
The Rinkrats suffered their 5th straight loss, going back to December 18, 2007 for their last victory. Finding the net for the Rinkrats was Colin Peters and Jon Dean.

Thursday night had the Alpines lose their third game of the new year and their second of the year in overtime, 6 to 5 to the Scotian Canadians. Scotian scoring was by Jeff Mullins with a pair, Allen Coyle, Troy Stevens, Todd Miles and Danny Brewer was awarded with the OT winner. Canadians powerplay was clicking going 3 of 4 with the advantage.
Dartmouth's Dwight Lucas, Todd Parker, Terry MacDonald, Dave Denike and Darren Welsh replied in the loss.
Todd Parker appeared to have his league leading 7th game winner, unfortunately it was in his own net, giving the Canadians the win and Danny Brewer credited with the GWG, opps....
 
The final game of the week had the Secunda Mariners pluck Your Fathers Moustache 9 to 2. The Mariners jumped out to a 6 to 0 lead before YFM scored. Secunda's Derek Taylor, Jamie Wood, Doug Clarke each buried a pair, while Keifer House, Dean Tucker and Chris Pitts added singles.
Your Fathers Moustache suffered their second straight thumping, losing 11 to 2 last week, being out scored 20 to 4. Ross MacInnis and Trent Boswick were the scorers in the loss.
