Alpines clinch regular season title.

Week 19 - Recap Mariners rally in goalfest. Moustache down slumping Rangers. Alpines hault Shamrocks winning streak and clinch title. Mariners win late again.

Week 19 begins with the Secunda Mariners looking in front of them and not behind. The Mariners 5 points back of 2nd place Moose Light Shamrocks and 2 points up on 4th place Your Fathers Moustache. It would be a big week for Secunda as they took on the bottom two teams in the standings.
Tuesday they rallied late with 2 goals with 2:17 remaining in regulation time to defeat 6 place Scotian Canadians, who were 2 points out of 5th place behind Bacardi Rangers, 8 to 7 in a goalfest. Mariners' Graham power buried a hattrick, including the final 2 goals, Sandor Fizli, Jeff Crowell, Keifer House, Chris Pitts and Doug Clarke added singles.
Trevor Chow fired home a hattrick of his own, while Mike Sim potted a pair, with Doug Mollon and Troy Stevens added a goal each for the Canadians.

In the nightcap, Your Fathers Moustache kept pace with Secunda with a 6 to 4 victory over the Bacardi Rangers. The loss extended the Rangers losing streak to 5 games. Moustache's Sean Fraser led the attack potting a 'trick and a helper. Ross MacInnis, Andrew MacVicar and Trent Boswick rounded out the scoring for YFM. The slumping Rangers had 2 goals and an assists from Allan Lake, with Scott Allison and Reg Bowes adding singles.

Thursday night had the 1st place Dartmouth Alpines clash with the surging 2nd place Moose Light Shamrocks. Moose Light entered the game on a 11 game winning streak and 4 points behind the Alpines, with a game in hand. Dartmouth was the last team to beat the Moose, 3 to 0 on November 27th 2007. The Alpines were up to the task and nipped the Shamrocks 5 to 4, with the win the Dartmouth Alpines clinched the regular season title and earned a first round playoff bye. The title was their 7th such honor for the franchise. Alpines scorers were Peter Gallant with 2, Chris Boutilier, Jay Washington and Todd Parker with his offical 7th game winning goal. Shamrocks leading scorer Paul Wright buried a pair and an assist, while Jason Troini and Dana Drake also found the net past goaltender Todd Bengert.

In the final game of the week the Secunda Mariners gained some ground on the Shamrocks, as they rallied from a 2 to 0 deficeit to score 3 goals in the final 6:42 remaining in regulation time, including the winner with 1:31 remaining. Jamie Wood led the come back with a pair and Doug Clarke fired home the game winner. The Rinkrats lost their 10th straight game but put up a good effort. Justin Dowding and Tony Peers were the marksmen for the 'rats.
