With the Holiday Break now over, all eight teams started up for the second half of the regular season and for the first time this year all five games went into the Mercy Rule. Starting on Tuesday, the Secunda Mariners blanked Big Leagues' Rangers 6 to 0. Jeff Crowell's 2 goals and Cory Irving's blanking of the Rangers, resulted in the first shutout in the League this season. This win helped the Mariners move into first place overall, one point ahead of the Sandtrap Chiefs. In the late game that night, the League had it's second shutout recorded. Peter Douglas of Scotiabank earned the honours as Scotiabank scored a 7 to 0 whitewash over the Fairview Aces. Hattricks by Rodney MacIntosh and Todd Miles followed Kyle Penny's game winning goal.
In the first game Thursday night, the T.J. Devils pounded on the slumping Fairview Aces 10 to 3. The Devils scored 6 unanswered goals in the second period for the victory. T.J.'s Rhail Arsenault scored 3 goals and 2 assists. The Mercy Rule continued, as the Sandtrap Chiefs, led by Gord Dickie's 2 goals and 2 assists, outskated the Dartmouth Alpines 8 to 2. The win moved the Chiefs back into first place. In the nightcap, the Secunda Mariners hopped right back into top spot with a 7 to 2 humbling of Your Fathers Moustache. The 3 goals, 2 assists by Steve Widmeyer and Keifer House's 2 goals, 3 assists propelled the Mariners to the victory.
In all five games the Mercy Rule took affect and the Mariners, Scotiabank, Devils and Chiefs showed No Mercy.
