Moustache Win 3rd Straight Title

The 2013-14 Regular Season came to an end this week, with 1st Place still on the line, between Your Fathers Moustache and Realty Partner Rinkrats, as well as a scoring title.

Tuesday night had the celler dwellers' Wild Turkey's getting thumped by Realty Partners 13 to 4. Partners' Michael Crawley blasted 5 goals and 4 helpers, while teammate Jordan Lind had 4 goals and 4 assists in the lopsided game. Wild's Todd Miles had a goal and 2 assists.

Thursday night had Your Fathers Moustache clinch their 3rd straight Regular Season Title with a 9 to 2 pounding of the Dartmouth Alpines. Sean Fraser of the Moustache buried a hattrick, including a penalty shot, Sean also added a helper for 4 point night to claim the scoring title, with 22 goals, 30 assists for 52 points in 16 games. Teammate Neal Pashoski had 2 goals on the night and finished the season with 31 goals and 21 assists for 52 points in 18 games.
YFM's goaltender Cody Cuvelier won the Top Goaltender with a 2.34 GAA.

In the last game of the regular season, the Realty Partner Rinkrats tripled up the Secunda Mariners 6 to 2. Justin Dowding did most of the damage with 4 goals and 1 assist, while teammate Scott Leverman had a goal and 3 helpers in the Rinkrats win. Mariners' Eddy Roman had a goal and an assist, in the loss.

The 2014 Lake City Cup Playoffs start on Tuesday, March 11th with the Round Robin Tournament, with the bottom 3 teams playing against the top 3 teams and the top 4 teams after the tournament advancing to the Semi Finals.
The Dartmouth Alpines start off against Realty Partner Rinkrats. Thursday night has the Realty Partners taking on the defending Lake City Cup Champions' Your Fathers Moustache. The Wild Turkey's and Secunda Mariners will not play next week, as the Mariners can not ice a team.
