Semi Final Deciding Game Wild and 'Stache

The 2014 Semi Finals came to an end Thursday night with the Wild Turkey's pushing the Regular Season and 2013 Lake City Cup Champions' Your Fathers Moustache to a 3rd and deciding game.

The Wild jumped out to a 1 to 0 lead on a goal by Todd Miles at the 14:55 mark of the 1st period, his 3rd of the series. YFM's Aaron Akitt would tie it at 1 on the powerplay, just under 3 minutes later.
The Moustache would add 2 more before the 1st period ended, on goals by Jamie MacVicar and Craig MacDonald, giving them a 3 to 1 lead.

The Wild narrowed the score at 17:26 of the 2nd, as Kyle Penny buried a rebound past Todd Bengert. The Moustache regained a 2 goal lead only 33 seconds later, on a goal by Steve MacDonald and would follow that up with their 2nd powerplay goal of the night, by Kyle Cuvelier at 14:59. A minute and 21 seconds later Sean Fraser scored a shorthanded goal for the 'stache, to increase their lead to 6 to 2.
The Wild's Terry Tremblay would score on their only powerplay, cutting the lead in half.
Steve MacDonld would score his 2nd of the night as the flood gates opened and made the score 7 to 3.
The Wild Turkey's would get one more goal at the 5:13 mark on a shot from Derek Stevens.
Your Fathers Moustache would add 2 more goals, by Neal Pashkoski and Terry Forbes, to make the final 9 to 4 and advance to the 2014 Lake City Cup Final. The Moustache had 8 different goal scores in the game, showing their depth as a team.

The Wild Turkey's, who finished last place in the regular season; with 2 wins, 17 losses and 1 tie, had a great playoff with 2 wins, 3 losses and 1 tie. Something to build on for next season.

Game 1, the Best 3 out of 5, of the 2014 Lake City Cup Finals will begin next Tuesday, April 15th at 10:00pm and Game 2 Thursday, April 17th at 9:00pm between the Secunda Mariners and the defending Lake City Cup Champions Your Fathers Moustache.
